Bring it on 2026
The year 2025 was a very mixed bag.
As is evident by the title of this blog, I am a very very lazy gardener. I did the bare minimum. It shows.
At the end of the poor growing season, I didn't even bother to cover the vegetable patch with ground cover to suppress the substantial weeds that have taken over.
I have a couple of pathetic red cabbages that are not worth picking, one frost damaged celery and a whole lot of weeds.
The area that used to house the chickens was taken over with bee hives and a whole lot of perennial nettle.
Here is my vow (not a new year's resolution)
I am going to get the vegetable garden back into shape.
I have just over a week off in February. I am devoting this week to whipping the garden back into shape.
Let's see how we get on.
In my favour:
I absolutely know what to do.
I have two greenhouses and a polytunnel that are ready for service.
I am healthy and can do this work
I have also decided to give this blog a bit of attention.
I must confess that social media has taken the place of my blog. I hope to redress this imballance.
