Thanks Apple Eaters!

I'd like to thank all the apple eaters who throw their cores out of their car windows.

There are loads of self-set apple trees all along the highways. In the spring, I get to enjoy the trees in flower. This time of year they are loaded with apples. I imagine that the wildlife will thank you too.
I think we should all throw apple cores out our car windows as often as possible. The world never has enough apple trees.
There are a whole bunch of apple trees, with green and red apples near the Ecclefechan exit (north bound) on the M74. I hope somebody can go and get all those apples safely. They look beautiful.

WOW! I didn't know that apple trees will grow up out of where a core was thrown. Cool beans.

Not all will sprout, but if you throw enough of them out into the grass, one will sprout.

Haven't you ever tried growing your apple pips?

Apple trees, how lucky! I will take a drive tonight along to Jersey turnpike and see if there are any rubber trees, oil can shrubs, or french fry carton trees in bloom. I wish we had apple trees AND less trash...

Apple trees are stunning in spring and in Autumn. In Autumn, the value added is you can eat the apple! ;) Great photo!

I am with Jay on this one....

.....and I have to agree with Sally that we have similar roadside vegetation here also. In addition, we have a large number of "Plastic Cup Trees" growing right here in my neighborhood.
