Old Man and the Sea

Well, he's my old man.

This is The Man of the Place, 18 metres down under the Red Sea last week, grooving on a jelly fish floating by. The photo was taken by his dive buddy that day, Andy Martin.

Henry is looking very chilled out and happy to be in the sea.

I'm glad to have him home and glad he had a good week diving. Well, even a bad week diving is so much better than a good week at work.

When I look at the photo and I see my dive computer strapped to his wrist, envy does creep in a bit.

If anybody can identify what kind of jelly fish that is, we'd be grateful. My field guides and books of groovy things of the Red Sea don't list that particular jelly.

What a great picture! Henry looks very cool in all his gear. I've always thought swimming around on the bottom of the ocean would be so exciting, but I'm way too chicken to have ever tried it myself. I admire people who do it though. Looks like it's something that Henry really loves.

Fantastic photo! Aren't you glad he is back! Too bad you couldn't go with him. Some other time, no doubt. I don't know anything about jellyfish

Great shot!

although it confirms that this is something I really don't think I should do! Poor kt...

Those are jellyfish? They look like smudges on the picture. Where are their little arms?

I'm glad your guy is back, safe, and that he had fun.

I'm glad he had a good time, and glad he's back. Just looking at the picture reminds me of how scared I am of the water. An anxiety attack just waiting to happen. LOL

Maybe next time we'll be looking at pictures of you and the jellyfish. It sounds like so much fun.

Glad you got your guy back. Great picture. Do you have any of yourself like that? Don't know jelly fish. Scared to death of water.
