Noodlebaby Birthday

Happy Birthday to Sean a/k/a the Noodlebaby a/k/a Seaniekins!!

I called Sean my noodle baby because his knees reminded me of macaroni, all soft and bendy that you just wanted to nibble.

He was very possibly the most good natured and beautiful baby that was ever born. That was 23 years ago today. Gosh, another grown man as a son.

In case you didn't notice, the birthdays aren't all that far apart. A year and five days to be precise. "Honey, remember that baby we had a few months ago? Guess what?. . . . " We seem to be bad about planning our babies at Christmastime. Actually, planning had little to do with it.
Sean has grown to be a beautiful, sensitive man and a great cook.
We're driving up to Peebles today to visit Sean and his girlfriend Laura, have lunch, drop off Christmas presents and birthday presents. There is also the matter of a birthday cake. He gets one. Its okay that tomorrow is Christmas and the remainder of the cake will be overshadowed by holiday foods.
Its rough to have your birthday on Christmas Eve. I know as my sister Katie has a birthday on the 30th of December. She was forever getting Christmas presents that said that it was also her birthday present. We all thought that was really cheap, so I never did it to Sean. Sadly Sean never had many birthday parties. He did have one at 18 and then again at 21. Better late than never.
I love you to bits Sean.

Happy Birthday Sean! What an adorable little guy. I know you're proud of him as a grown man Peggy...but, don't you sometimes wish they could stay little and adorable like this?

What A Bummer.....

Birthdays around Christmas have got to be the worse for the poor birthday boys and girls. They should blame the parents for poor planning back in April of the birth year if you ask me. LOL
